Christian University of Panama (Universidad Cristiana de Panama (UCP))
Introduction
In 2001, our Almighty God blessed us with the vision of creating an Institution of Higher Education that would supply the needs of professional training in the Western Sector of the Province of Panama, specifically in the Township of Vista Alegre, District of Arraiján, Province of Panama. With the support of a majestic work team and professionals with excellent experience in teaching, the document that formalizes the interest in creating the university is presented to the Ministry of Education, in compliance with the regulations in force for the creation of higher education institutions in the country.
In 2003, the Executive Branch approved Executive Decree No. 42 of July 22, 2003, which granted the "UNIVERSIDAD CRISTIANA DE PANAMÁ, SPECIALIZED IN ADMINISTRATIVE AND TECHNOLOGICAL SCIENCES" , legal autonomy in its operation, its own patrimony and the right to administer it, as well as the faculty to organize its study plans, programs and academic services. That same year the first three careers offered by the university were approved: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, and Bachelor's Degree in Administration of Human Resources Systems.
The mission of our University is "To contribute to the high quality professional training of a citizen
integrity, with Christian and moral principles for the benefit of Panamanian society " , and our vision is" to be a pioneer University in the integral formation of solidarity and Christian values, with academic excellence, diversified high technology, with the ability to face challenges with success and creative entrepreneurial aptitude in a modern and globalized society ”.
Created with the motto "A University for everyone ..." , the university opens its doors to anyone who wishes to expand their knowledge and train as a professional upright and suitable for the exercise of their profession, without distinction of race, ideology, sex, economic situation or social. In 2004, other careers were submitted to the consideration of the University of Panama for approval.
In April 2012, the University successfully received Report No. 20-2012 of April 26, 2012, “whereby the Favorable Inspection Report of the CRISTIAN UNIVERSITY OF PANAMÁ (UCP) is issued for admission to the University Evaluation and Accreditation Processes ”This report was received by the Technical Supervision Commission (CTF) , and the Institutional Self-evaluation report was delivered for accreditation purposes to the National Council for Evaluation and Accreditation of Panama (CONEAUPA) .
