Introduction

Founded in 1920 and just three hours from London by train, Swansea University is an established university with a long history of academic success, excellent facilities, and high standards of teaching.

Campus Features

Swansea University spans two stunning campuses at each end of Swansea’s waterfront. Singleton Park Campus is set in mature parkland and botanical gardens, overlooking Swansea Bay beach. Bay Campus is located on the beach on the eastern approach into Swansea.

Both campuses are nearby an exciting city centre. The city of Swansea has been ranked in the top ten safest places to study in the UK by the Complete University Guide 2022.

Our multicultural dual-campus boasts a diverse academic community with students and staff from over 130 countries providing lots of opportunities for all. The friendly community and relaxed atmosphere is often characterized as the “Swansea feeling”.

Swansea University benefits from having a range of accommodation open to students - from on-campus living to a wide variety of private accommodation in and around the city. It has been rated as one of the most affordable UK University by totallymoney.com (2019).

We guarantee campus accommodation for international students at both undergraduate and postgraduate if you apply by 30 June.

For those looking to live on campus, there are rooms with en-suites available as well as the option to live in single-sex halls, alcohol-free or those dedicate for Postgraduate students.

    Scholarships and Funding

    Swansea University provides scholarships at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Scholarship holders are invited to a number of exclusive events throughout their time at Swansea University. Scholarships of up to £6,000 are available and there is a variety of scholarships which acknowledge academic, sporting and music talents.

    Swansea is surrounded by a variety of beaches and the city centre is a short journey which is accessible by bus, walking or cycling. Swansea has plenty of charm and lots of character with a brand-new entertainment and music arena plus a number of art galleries, museums, shops and restaurants.

    The University has collaborated with Santander Cycles providing sustainable travel across the city, with 55 bikes based at six hubs along the sweep of Swansea Bay available to hire 24/7.
