Welcome to the Faculty of Applied Science and Textiles. The four Departments of our Faculty offer a comprehensive range of academic programmes, covering postgraduate, undergraduate degrees and higher diplomas by full-time and part-time modes of study. We promote vibrant and dynamic teaching and learning environment. Our emphasis is not only on knowledge and technological know-how but also on independent thinking and analytical ability. Our Departments employ an array of interactive mythologies to promote active learning, thereby fostering students’ inquisitiveness and creativity.

Our high-quality education is underpinned by research work to which we dedicate great efforts. Our faculty has, in the past decade, fostering a dynamic and interdisciplinary research culture. Our research efforts are supported by well-equipped laboratories and a variety of research funds. Over the years, our research teams have built the Faculty’s reputation for research of exceptional quality. The many innovations we have identified have received international recognition/ awards and made proven value to the industries and the wide community.
