The University of Eastern Finland - Joensuu Campus
Introduction
The University of Eastern Finland (UEF) is one of the leading multidisciplinary universities in Finland and a university that is internationally recognised for its state-of-the-art research. Our study programmes are of a high standard, and they are built on high-level research seeking to find interdisciplinary solutions to global challenges. UEF offers a great variety of Master’s degree programmes taught in English and non-degree programmes that cater, in particular, to the needs of exchange students. Many of our Master’s degree students stay on board at UEF to continue their studies in our doctoral programmes.
The Joensuu Campus is compact, easy to access and accessible. The campus is located right by the city centre. Most of the campus buildings are located along Yliopistonkatu. The campus is home to more than 9,000-degree students, so be prepared for a lively atmosphere and corridors filled with happy chatter. Many cafeterias and campus restaurants offer lunch and snacks. Joensuu Science Park hosts some of the university's teaching facilities, and it is a natural platform for science, technology and business to meet. In addition, the Teacher Training School is also located on campus.
