Union University Belgrade
Introduction
Union University was established in 2005. Three faculties founded it; the Faculty of Construction Management, the School of Design, and the School of Industrial Management (later the Faculty of Business and Industrial Management). Soon after, the following higher education institutions joined as co-founders: the Belgrade Banking Academy – Faculty of Banking, Insurance and Finance, the School of Computing, the Union University Faculty of Law (formerly the Faculty of Business Law), the Faculty of Real Estate Management, the Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship and College of Environmental Engineering. In March 2010, the Faculty of Construction Management, the Faculty of Real Estate Management, the Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship and College of Environmental Engineering pulled out of the University. When the School of Design closed down in 2011, Union University was left with four constituent members; the Faculty of Industrial Management, the Belgrade Banking Academy, the Faculty of Computer Science, and the Union University Faculty of Law. However, the Academy of Fine Arts (2012) and Faculty of Law and Business Studies Dr Lazar Vrkatić (2013) soon became constituent faculties. In April 2015, the Faculty of Business and Industrial Management withdrew from the university. Presently the university consists of the following; the School of Computing, the Belgrade Banking Academy, the Faculty of Law Union University and Faculty of Law and Business Studies Dr Lazar Vrkatić.
